# Features

#### What's new in CineDream compared to Cinema Grade?

Key new features include:

* Unified video and photo grading in one application
* Film emulation presets (CineLab, CineBoss, etc.)
* Advanced color wheels
* Bloom, halation, and grain effects
* Improved shot matching with split-screen views
* Film density controls
* Subtractive saturation
* Enhanced scopes (waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope)
* Preset saving and management

#### Will CineDream have AI features?

AI features are not planned for the initial release but are being explored for future updates. We're focusing first on perfecting the point-and-click color grading concept with granular manual control.

#### Does CineDream support masking?

Basic masking features like vignette and gradient ramp are supported. For more advanced masking including tracking, you can use your NLE's built-in masking tools in combination with CineDream.

#### Can I export LUTs from CineDream?

LUT export is not planned for the initial release due to our proprietary emulations, but this may be considered for future updates.

#### Will there be support for control surfaces?

Control surface support is on our development roadmap but won't be available in the initial release.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.cinedream.io/frequently-asked-questions/features.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
