# Error message: Failed to set parameters (Premiere)

**Cause:** Faulty communication between Adobe Premiere and CineDream

**Solution:**

1. Apply CineDream in Premiere to more than one clip

2. Click ‘Open Controls’

3. Some clips might not appear in CineDream. Any changes that you make will result in that error message

4\. Close CineDream

5. Save Project in Premiere (important!)

6. Close Premiere

7. Reopen Premiere and open that very same timeline

8\. Click Open Controls again.

From now on the timeline should be prepared and for that timeline you won’t see “Failed to set parameters”.

If this procedure doesn't solve the issue it is most likely that the CineDream Extension for Premiere is the cause. For updating the Extension please follow the steps shown in these sections:
